Thanks for visiting my wedding and engagement photography site. When I got into photography several years ago, I never imagined that couples would begin to come to me and ask me to shoot their weddings. Initially I was intimidated—I was honestly intimidated by the prospect of actually getting paid to take photos period!—but I approached it with a sense of respect for the moment and took it very seriously, because really a couple’s wedding day is one of the most important days of their lives.

Today, after having shot many weddings over the years, I continue to look forward the opportunity to capture the memories of each couple’s wedding day. It’s gratifying to be such an intimate part of that moment, to almost literally have a backstage pass on a day like this, witnessing each moment as it happens, from the pre-wedding preparations through to the ceremony and formals, onward to the location photos prior to the reception to cap the night. Except for the newlyweds and maybe their closest friends and family, there’s only one person who’s there the entire day seeing it all, and that’s the photographer.
